‘ACROSS

I turn the page of the day,
writing what I’m told
by the motion of your eyelashes.

I enter you,
the truthfulness of the dark.
I want proofs of darkness, want
to drink the black wine:
take my eyes and crush them.

A drop of night
on your breast’s tip:
mysteries of the carnation.

Closing my eyes
I open them inside your eyes.

Always awake
on its garnet bed:
your wet tongue.

There are fountains
in the garden of your veins.

With a mask of blood
I cross your thoughts blankly:
amnesia guides me
to the other side of life.’

-Octavio Paz (1914-1998)

chreaturas-deactivated20120429 asked: You're very welcome Laura. Well about your inspiration blog, it is much more conceptual! Certainly inspiring, and it does feel like your pictures from this blog. I also appreciate your commentary of my work, it is indeed a creation of mine. I had so much in my mind going on that day, I didnt realize what I was creating, I'd say it was subconcious. It has been insightful to hear your opinion, only one other friend was able to really see what it was. Have you ever experienced something similar?

Sorry for the late reply.

I know how important it feels to get a feedback about what you do, especially when it proves that what you are trying to express is being understood and appreciated. Is all about sharing, and that feeling that you are not alone, isn’t it ? :]
Is that what you are talking about when you say “something similar” ? Or is it about being understood by a few ?
I like the fact that you say your work was “subconscious”, and you didn’t realize what you were doing. I give a lot of importance to spontaneity in art. And actually makes me think I have been thinking deeply and long enough about it yet. Conversation to be continued ^^
Anyway, I just published a new page close to my heart, where you will find some of the photographic work that was displayed here. Philosophically questioning reality and aesthetically personifying artificiality. And much more. Hopefully :]

chreaturas-deactivated20120429 asked: Amazing, your photos surprise me Laura congratulations... where do you find inspiration? Cyberpunk genre has an addictive taste of nostalgia dont you think? which seems a bit of paradoxical since it's usually in a future. I think your pictures give that feeling... I reached you through a post of mine you liked, what do you think of it??

Thanks a lot. :))
I find inspiration in my every-day life experiences, and feed myself with beauty and concepts. I question, I push limits and go extreme, I get lost, and sometimes I express. But to be honest this portfolio feels like a first draft, this is just the beginning. Also, maybe you can find more by checking my inspiration blog : http://projectioncylon.tumblr.com/ :]

My point of view about cyberpunk is that it’s a projection of the future, but definitely expressed in the past. It’s the 90s, when I was a kid, so maybe the reason why I’m so attached to it. And so in a way it’s what is happening in the present, what we shaped / what we are getting now. The future is made of something else, and it’s up to us to decide what. Definitely something to do with a radical change, technologic, natural, spiritual or a mix of them - as this is what our world is shouting at the moment.
Am I being understandable ? Sorry I’m not that good with words, I usually use other people’s ones ;]
Yes I really like your post. Is that your creation ? The first image is beautiful. And I love everything expresses the problematic bio/human/mechanical/machine. A classic. But always striking.

Getting lost with the projection of superficiality and sexiness.
